Webster Arts is hosting the Freedom of Expression Exhibition Jan through March 2019 and will display work with themes of censorship, bigotry, free speech, racism, and speaking truth to power found in the play “Alabama Stories,” which will be presented by the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. The play and exhibit will be presented concurrently, sharing audiences. Images of the work in the exhibit will be projected in the lobby of the theatre before the performances and during intermission. The theatre and gallery are a few blocks apart.
The opening reception is Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 6-8 p.m

St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre is hosting a show where local artists submitted 17 paintings that will be displayed along with interpretations from local writers in the “Paint and Pen” exhibit. It will be on display Oct. 18-Dec. 9, 2018, at the Cultural Arts Centre.
"This is a community effort to bring writers and artists together," said Cindy DuBois, Cultural Arts Centre Leader. “I’m hoping this is the kick start of something that will continue to evolve.”
Since 2004 For the past 11 years The Highland Arts Council has hosted its annual Art in the Park event to show off its creative side and have some fun. Art in the Park features a broad range of innovative work from over 65 artists from a variety of mediums. The artists compete in twelve categories with $10,000 in cash prizes awarded to the winners. The weekend offers an opportunity for artists to do more than sell their art. These imaginative folks will also mentor and teach others through a series of live demonstrations that enable the artists to pass on their knowledge by educating their peers about techniques and styles while also encouraging them to explore the arts.
